Primary Functions
The Country Managers primary role will be to represent the company in the territory and be responsible for all the activities undertaken. These activities will be mainly:
Content Licensing; The acquisition of relevant video content for deployment on the Video Platform.
Business Development; The development of Advertising relationships with Agencies and brands where possible, plus the possible development of relationships within online media partners.
Coordination of the companies administrative activities within the territory (paying of bills, setting up of office, etc)
Account Management; Managing local clients within the territory.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role will be a entrepreneurial person who is used to managing their own time efficiently and working autonomously. They will also, as a rule have some of or all of the following attributes:
Experience within online media or media generally, specifically around content licensing or business development.
University degree or at least 5 years experience within Online Media in local market.
A local network of business contacts which can be referenced in a vastly positive manner.
Willing to travel, at least within the territory, and/or to HQ in Germany.
Fluent in France and English
Summary
The country manager will report directly into the Director – International, who will offer support and training. The country manager will also work closely with the central editorial team based in Germany and be given full support in the setup of the business in their territory.
